Biography:
Hasliza obtained her PhD in Linguistics from University of Canterbury, New Zealand. She completed her M.Ed. TESL from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), and secured her degree of English Language and Literature from International Islamic University Malaysia. She started her teaching career in 2002 as English language teacher. In 2017, she was appointed as a senior lecturer and currently teaching at School of Languages, Civilization and Philosophy, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She and her team in University of Canterbury has developed a 19-million corpus named NST Corpus (2014). Recipient of Malay Chair Research Grant, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (2011). A project developer for NST Corpus with Emeritus Professor Dr. Koenraad Kuiper and New Zealand Institute of Brain and Behaviour (NZILBB), University of Canterbury.
