Biography:

Eny Haziany binti Hamzah is an English Language lecturer at the School of Languages, Civilization and Philosophy. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (English Language) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2000. She started her career as an English Language teacher at Universiti Utara Malaysia in June 2002. After three years being an English Language teacher, she pursued her studies in Masters of Arts in Applied Linguistics, at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. After completing her Masters’ Degree, she was offered the post of English Language lecturer at the Applied Linguistics Unit, School of Languages, Civilization and Philosophy Universiti Utara Malaysia, since. She lectures both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Among the courses that she lectures are English for Communication I, English for Communication II, Process Writing, Technical Writing, Academic Writing, English for Higher Education, Public Speaking, Business Report Writing, and Business for Professional Communication. Furthermore, she has also been actively involved in training and consultation for government agencies and private sectors locally and internationally such as Universiti Utara Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Princess Narathiwat University, Nakhom Pathom Rajabhat University, Thesaptri Rajabhat University, and BSRU. Among the courses and programmes that she teaches are Fun English Conversation Programme, Fun English Summer Camps, High Tech Communication Skills, English for the Workplace, Management Ethics, Personal Financial Planning, Developing Entrepreneurship, Employability and Enhancement Programme, Personal Development and Character Building, English Enhancement Program for Primary School Teachers, and The International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
